Fond Farewell to #4

We are Packers fans, but not the hard-core cheeseheads you see on Sports Center highlights. I am a big sports fan and appreciate a great game and watching a great athlete. That is why we are sad in Packerland today--#4, the legend, is retiring. We have watched him for 16 seasons in the green and gold and will miss his great play. Muskie Man and I went to the game that was his 200th consecutive start. That was an amazing feat, a freezing cold game, but was an awesome time and a victory for the good guys.

Minnow likes to watch the Packers and still says, "go, go!" every time she sees a game or highlight. We didn't know it at the time, but she sat with Muskie Man and watched #4's last game a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the entertainment these past 16 seasons #4, we'll miss you!

Go, Go!

Minnow loves sports. She has been going to sporting events since she was about a month old. She has been to volleyball matches, football games, basketball games, a wrestling tournament, baseball and softball games. . . pretty much any sport Muskie Man's school has, she has been there!

For the past few months, when Minnow notices a game on TV, she drops what she is doing and starts clapping her hands. Anytime she hears the crowd cheering, she joins in clapping. She also does this at games. She often ends up clapping for the wrong team--we have to work on this!

Lately, as soon as she notices a game on the tube she drops what she is doing and says, "go, go!" She repeats this phrase over and over and over again as she watches the game. Now we just have to get her "cheering" for the right team!
